(Eph 6:14) Gird your waste with Truth -

1. Meaning of "Gird" - MSN Dictionary states "Gird" prepare your self; for vigorous activity  So my friend get your self ready and prepare for conflict by making sure that you have learned the truth of Gods Holy Words and his meanings and messages of his Holy Words (The Bible) .  In doing so you will be able to go out and do the great commission that Jesus Christ has commanded us to do (MT 28:19) & see (Acts 10:42).  The Roman soldiers belt helped to keep their armor in place, as you to shall hold your armor together with truth.  We can not be ready to overcome our sins and fight against evil with out truth.  With out truth we will fall into all sorts of evil, false teachings, false theologies and anti-Christ behaviors!  We must be totally sincere and passionate about holding to truth in Jesus Christ as his servants, as his disciples & soldiers!

2. Abide in Christ, You will know the Truth (John 8:31-32) - Jesus tells us that "IF" we abide in his words, we are his disciples, and we shall know the truth, and the truth shall set us free.  The truth shall free us from our bondage of our sins and free us from the lies and trickery of satan as well.  And the truth shall open our eyes up to God and his Holy Words, so that we may know the will of God and live for God in "ALL" things that we say and do!

3. Jesus is Truth (John 14:16) - As Jesus said, he is the way, the truth, and the life.  So if a person does not listen to Jesus, then that person is rejecting the truth, because Jesus Christ is that truth and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth.  So my friend study and learn "ALL" of Jesus teachings and commands (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John & Rev 1,2,3), and then you will know and understand the truth.  If you do not, you will never know the truth and you will be deceived by satan, false teachers and those who follows, satans trickery, lies and evil ways.

4. Spirit of Truth (John 16:12-15) - The Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit) will guide you into all truth, provided that you are truly a Born Again Christian.  Other wise with out being Born Again (John 3:3) you will not receive the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth-John 14:17, 15:26, 16,13 1John 4:6) and you will remain blind my friend, even though you may think that you can see (MT 13:10-17).  And with the spirit of Truth, you will be able to prepare for battle and have victory over satans schemes and lies.

5. Seal of God & Truth (Rev 9:4) - The Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Truth is a seal of God placed on our foreheads and absolute proof that we belong to God our Father through Jesus Christ instead of satan! And the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth.

   As it is Written:  (NOTE: See Rev 9:4) 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal : "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." NKJV. We must not sin.

Breastplate of Righteousness - (Eph 6:14)

1. Meaning of "Righteousness" - According to Nelsons Bible Dictionary, "Righteousness" means, Holy and Upright living according to Gods standards. Or in MSN Works Dictionary, Strictly observing morality, justifiable, & responding to injustice.

2. Holy Living - My friend how can we live Holy Lives if we watch what ever is on TV, the News (Media) or listen to what ever music we feel like. Or what about the company that we keep? I am referring to those who time after time we socialize with. Don't you know that bad company ruins good morals?  It is written; 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals."ESV.  With this modern day information age, it is even more difficult for the average Christian to stay from immorality, sorcery and such, without watching a movie without magic, sex or extreme violence in them. The temptations are very strong to say the least.

3. Righteousness to Unrighteousness (Gen 3:1-7) - When Adam & Eve were created by God they were righteous before God our Father while they were still obedient to God.  They were not dead spiritually while they "were" obedient to God, they were alive in God and clean through God.  But when Eve (Woman) listened to the serpents lies & trickery and then Adam (Man) just stood there and said nothing to his wife or the serpent to rebuke them fro their evil ideas of eating the forbidden fruit, that was forbidden for them to do, When they stopped listening to God, and desired to have the knowledge of God they both became disobedient to God.  By that they immediately became spiritually dead and lost their righteous state (relationship) with God.  They became unrighteous!    And now they are unclean people (sinners)!   This is the fall of mankind, the first sin.

4. Faith & Works, Working Together is Righteousness (James 2:23) - Abraham believing what God said by having (faith) & obeying  God, went up to offer his son as a sacrifice (works-acted on his faith) as commanded by God was counted to Abraham as being righteous. 

   As it is Written (See James 2:14-26) James 2:24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. NKJV

   Abraham put God first & "ACTED" on his faith instead of just sitting there and saying he believes as so many of today's Christians do.  So those of us "Born Again Christians" who believes, trust in Jesus Christ and does what he says (Mt 7:24-28) is counted as righteous before God our Father.  So many of today's Christians are not righteous according to Gods standards because they do not obey Jesus Christ by abiding in him in their "daily" lives by staying away from worldly ways and sins. 

   And Only the righteous are justified having works and faith working together are righteous (saved) before God! (JAMES 2:14-26))

5. Righteousness Through Jesus Christ (Romans 5:19) - It is the the law (Ten Commandments) that shows us what sin is, and our sinfulness against God.  It places a mirror in front of us so that we will see our true sinful condition.  And Jesus paid the price for our sins (1Co 7:23), if we repent and turn away from our sins (Luke 13:3), then deny our selves, pick up our cross and follow him daily (MT 16:24) we shall be saved (John 3:16) and then we become righteous through Christ!  Through Jesus Christ if we Love Him and keep his words (John 14:24) , we will become righteous as Abraham was when he believed God, and did as God told him to do (James 2:21-22).  This is works working together with Faith is the PERFECT FAITH (James 2:22)!  Not by our own merits, but by the merits of Jesus Christ only.  We can not just have faith only and be righteous in Christ, neither can we have works only and be righteous.  Faith & Works working together through Jesus Christ is how we become righteous through Jesus Christ and then we have the PERFECT FAITH (James 2:14-26). 

   As it is written; James 2:22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect NKJV

6. The Righteous does not have Permission to Sin (Jude 1:4) - Many of today's Christians seems to think that because of the Righteousness of Jesus Christ & Grace of God that we can sin.  Many say we are not perfect as an accuse for their wickedness and their daily wicked behavior!   So they call Jesus Lord, Lord when they do not actually obey him?  And do they conduct ungodly behaviors daily?  Are they saved?  Do they tolerate wickedness of Hollywood, non-Christian music and video games?  Are they saved?  Or should I say will they be saved and enter into the kingdom of God?

   As it is written: Jude 4
   4 For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. NIV

   And as Jesus said; Matthew 7:21-23
   "Not everyone who says to Me,'Lord, Lord ,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord , have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'  NKJV

Your Feet "The Gospel of Peace" (Eph 6:15) (Be Ready for War against satans schemes)

1. John Prepares the Way (MT 3:3)  How can we prepare for war fare with out being first being saved from our sins?  And how can we be forgiven of our sins without a perfect sacrifice for our sins, a payment for our sins?  John the Baptist (Prophet) prepares the way for Jesus Christ, to preach "Repent & Believe the Gospel" (Mk 1:15).  And Jesus (The Perfect & Sinless Sacrifice) died on the cross and rose on the third day for our sins.

2. Jesus Prepares Us (MT 14:15-18)  After we repent, deny our selves, pick up our crosses (MT 16:24-27) and Loves Jesus by abiding in his words (John 8:31 & 14:24 & 15:7 & 15:10)  he shall give us a another helper (Spirit of Truth) Holy Spirit) and then our eyes shall be open to Gods words and his truths.  And with that we shall have power (Mk 16:17-18)!  Power to over our sins, so that we can be the light of this world (Mt 5:14), so that we can be able to fight against the principalities of darkness, and destroy the evil works of satan. And with that we shall work out our salvation with trembling and fear (Php 2:12-13).

3. We Train (Learn) to Prepare (Luke 1:76-79 & John 16:12-15)  We also prepare for war fare against satans evil schemes (Eph 6:10-12 & 2Co 2:10-11)  so that he may take less souls to hell with him.  An infant in Christ is not acquainted with the difference between good and evil (So we train (learn) by studying the scriptures in depth, and pray, meditate on the words of God constantly in all things that we say and do.  If we stay away from Gods words, then satan will when battles and attacks against us, that will cause us to sin.

   So do not be worldly, nor carnal minded as the world is (Ro 8:7) but be transformed by renewing your mind in Jesus Christ!

4. Ready for War (Eph 4:12-13 & 6:10-14)  With studying Gods words, by understanding them, by accepting them, and by Maturing in the Faith (1Co 2:6-8, 1Co 14:20, Php 3:15-16) as a strong soldier  in Jesus Christ (2Tim 2:3-4) you will be ready to fight the good fight and run a good race to get the prize "Crown of Righteousness" (1Co 9:24-26, 2Tim 4:7-8, Heb 12:1-2)!  We do not fight against flesh and blood, but we fight against the principalities, against the powers & rulers of darkness (Eph 6:12)!

5. Gospel of Peace (Eph 6:15)  The gospels that we abide in (Jesus Christ Teachings) gives us courage and peace with-in our hearts, while non-believers struggle with-in their own hearts in bondages to their own sins.  And we that are not carnal, but are spiritual, do not live as the pagans live.  And we do not be as this wicked world is, in its lust for greed, for power, for sexual immorality, and in its own wicked desires of all sorts. So because of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Grace of God, we receive peace and joy with-in by the Spirit of God that lives in us.

Shield of Faith  (Eph 6:16).  This weapon (Faith) protects us from the temptations, and persecutions that satan throws our way.  And (Faith) combined with the Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit) and with works as evidence of our Faith, keeps us from being deceived by satan, his demons and his human servants that is bent on evil and destruction.   Faith combined with works is the perfect Faith as it is written;

James 2:22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect ? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. NKJV

NOTE:  Without works (Bearing Good Fruits) as evidence of your faith, you have no Faith, and only those with Faith is saved!  You can not have works alone with out faith and you can not have Faith with out works!

Helmet of Salvation (Eph 6:17)  This weapon that protects us against satan and his wickedness is our "Hope of Salvation", so we rejoice in our salvation my friend :) (Acts 2:26, Ro 5:1-5).  And this weapon (Helmet) protects our minds from going wayward in un biblical way of thinking and satans attacks to our minds with sinful temptations and thoughts.  Nothing can go into our hearts unless it goes into our minds first, then if we keep our minds on those evil thoughts that is when we do commit sin.  So we must Guard our Minds against evil thinking! 

As it is Written;

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. NKJV

And friend, be in PRAYER at all times.  Keep Jesus involved in every part of your life day and night, 24/7!

Sword of the Spirit (Eph 6:17)  Another weapon is the sword of the spirit, that is "The Words of God"!  Study and meditate on the words of God, constantly without stopping.  When Jesus Christ was tempted 3 times he used the Holy Words of God against satans attacks and that kept Jesus from sinning.  So my friend in doing this you will protect your self from satans trickery when he uses temptations, false evangelist, pastors, teachers denominations and other religions to try and pull you away from Jesus Christ .  And that you will be protecting your self from those inside and out side of the church from tempting you and twisting the scriptures to suit their own evil desires.

For example; the Free Masons say they are Christians, when in reality they are actually satanist, and keep many of their secret ways from people, or they at least try to should I say.  They deal in sorcery and try to deceive good Christian men, and intentional try to pull them away from Jesus Christ!

As it is written; Matthew 7:15 beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. NKJV
