Teaching

The Purpose of the Law (Ten Commandments)  The law first off shows us what sin is.  As Apostle Paul said; Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. NKJV  If was not for the law, we would not what adultery, bearing false witness, Idolatry and etc was.  So if we do not know what sin is and then realized of our sins against God?  And if we do not realize that we have sinned against God, then how could we realize our need for a savior (Jesus Christ)?  And then how can we repent of our sins, if we do not know that we have sinned against God?

And secondly, if it was not for the law we would not come to Jesus Christ in True repentance.  As it is written; Galatians 3:24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. NKJV  The law is perfect for bringing people to salvation.  And as it is written: Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; NKJV

And then thirdly the Law shows us and teaches us how to LOVE God and LOVE our neighbor!  The Law is LOVE.  God does not want us to go against him and hurt him, and neither does God want us to hurt each other (our neighbors) either!  IT IS THE LAWS OF LOVE!  In other words, if we love God, we will not worship other Gods, and if we love God, we will not use his name in vain.  And if we love our neighbor, we will not covet our neighbors wife or things.  If we love our neighbor, we will not kill him or lie to him for example.

Now my friend the (Ten Commandments) is a complete summary of the (Two Greatest Commandment's) to which is a brief summary of the (Ten Commandments).  And what did Jesus say about the (Two Greatest Commandments)?  He said; Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets ." NKJV  So is the law abolished and if it is abolished then is Love also abolished?  GOD FORBID, NO!  I say NO it is not abolished.  Jesus said the laws and the prophets are not abolished, as it is written; Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them ............

Friend even though the law it self doesn't save us (Gal 2:16), because all have broken the laws, and sinned against God (Ro 3:23)! (See Ro 7).  So friend because we are saved by grace, and we are no longer under the law (ceremonial laws), does that mean we no longer have to show love to God through Jesus Christ and show love to our neighbor?  CERTAINLY NOT!  God Forbid!  The laws are still is in force and we still are expected to obey them through our faith in Jesus Christ.  As it is written; Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law. "The Laws of Love-Ten Commandments, and The Leviticus Laws (health/Sanitary Laws).

As it is written; Jude 4 They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. NIV
