        31) Do not Pass Judgment on Another - Romans 14:1-12 - To Index ^

                      a) Romans 14:1-3 - Welcome the Weak Brother - (See Adam Clarke Commentary) - The weak Christian Jewish Brother still not realizing

their liberty in Jesus Christ, that they no longer need the ceremonial laws, they continue practicing the ceremonial laws, and yet we

Christian gentiles that are stronger in the faith realizing our freedom in Jesus Christ, that we do not need the ceremonial laws or church

traditions, that we do not rely on them. The modern churches are the same way, some has their ceremonial ways are the weaker of the

faith, but as we welcomed the Christian Jews, so should we welcome others of different Christian denominations, since God has

                           welcomed them.

                      b) Romans 14:4-6 - Do not Judge Your Brother -  We each are Gods Servant, so who are we to judge each other because some holds to

ceremonial laws, and others do not, let us not cause our weaker brother to stumble because of their weak faith they rely on the ceremonial

laws. In the modern times some observes Christmas and others do not, but let us not judge one another regarding things like that, for

example. We both the weak brother & the stronger brother gives thanks to God regardless if they keep ceremonial laws or not.

                      c) Romans 14:7-9 - We belong to the Lord Regardless - Jesus is the  Lord of the living and the dead, just as he is Lord of the weaker brother

and the stronger brother in the Faith, so we both are one in the Lord.

                      d) Romans 14:10-12 - We all will stand before the judgment seat of God - So how can we judge one another in regards to taking part in

ceremonies or not? We all will have to give a account of our selves to God at his judgment seat.

                      e) Summary of Do not Pass Judgment On Another - Romans 14:1-12 - 1) Let us welcome to weaker brother in the faith, even if he does hold

to certain religious ceremonies, festivals or church traditions, and even if they are of a different denomination, 2) so let us not pass

judgment on him, let us not cause him to stumble or lose his faith in Jesus Christ, 3) because we both the weaker & the stronger in the

faith belong to our Lord Jesus Christ, that God has welcomed both of us, 4) because we all you and I, the weaker & the stronger in the

faith will have to give an account of our selves to God when we all stand before the judgment seat of God.

        32) Do not cause another to Stumble - Romans 14:13-23 - To Index ^

                      a) Romans 14:13-16 - Walk in Love - I will our SDA (Seventh Day Adventist) brothers & sisters in Jesus Christ as an

example of what this scripture is talking about. The SDA's do not believe in eating meat, even though Jesus considers meat to be clean.

So for the sake of the SDA's weak conscience we should not judge them so as to not cause them to stumble in the Faith, even though

our conscience & faith is stronger that we permit our selves to eat meat, but let us not do that in front of our SDA's brothers/sisters in

Jesus Christ to stumble. So let us Walk in Love towards them. This is also regarding rights & ceremonies.

                      b) Romans 14:17-19 - Pursue Peace & Upbuilding - Those who serves Jesus Christ is acceptable to Jesus Christ even if a believer believes

in eating meat or not, in certain ceremonies or not, so let us keep peace with one another and encourage one another in the faith.

                      c) Romans 14:20-21 - Prevent your brother from Stumbling - So if eating meat for example can cause our brothers/sisters in Jesus Christ to

stumble in the faith, then do not even so much as mention eating meat around them, and do not eat meat in front of them, they to belong

to Jesus Christ as much as you do

                      d) Romans 14:22-23 - Let Our Conscience bear us out - We are to keep our faith between us and God, that is if we like eating meat or not, that

is in our church rites or ceremonies, or our belief in them. What ever we do in Faith is not sin unless, our conscience is pulling at us, and if

we do not go with our conscience then we do sin, if we do not do things Faith.

                      e) Summary of Do Not Cause Another to Stumble - Romans 14:13-23 - 1) Let us walk in Love by not judging our brothers/sisters in Jesus

regarding the food that they do or do not eat, their ceremonies that they do or do not do 2) instead let us pursue peace & encourage one

another in the Faith 3) in doing so we must not cause our brothers/sisters in Jesus Christ to stumble because of their weak conscience

because heaven is not about eating/drinking ceremonies or rites, no it is about righteousness, peace & joy in the Holy Spirit.

                           4) so with that we are to keep what we approve as far as eating/drinking & rites/ceremonies to our selves, and then if our own conscience

is against what we do, then what we do is not of Faith and then in that we have sinned our selves.

33) The Example of Christ - Romans 15:1-7 - To Index ^ -

                    a) Romans 15:1-3 - Do not Offend our Weaker Christian Jewish Brother -  (See Adam Clarkes Commentary) - (Reproach - See Nelsons

Bible Dictionary) We Gentile Christians are to be patient with our weaker Christian Jewish brothers as not to offend them with our

stronger Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, because of our understanding of our Liberty from the ceremonial laws & traditions, that our

weaker Christian Jewish Brothers still does not realize that they to have. So in that let us please our Christian Jewish Brothers, just as

Jesus Christ did not please him self, he took our reproach on him self. .

                    b) Romans 15:4-7 - Be in One Accord in Jesus Christ - (See Adam Clarkes Commentary) - The Old Testament wasn't given just to those

generations, but our generation & future generations as well for learning that through the prophets and such, that through their

sufferings that we may see our hope as they did their hope for the purpose of encouraging us in our Faith in Jesus Christ. So may we

be in one accord both Christian Jews & Christian Gentiles all in one accord, to be in agreement with one another.  So we shall glorify

our Father in one accord, one voice.  So we shall welcome one another as Jesus Christ has welcomed us, in that there is evidence

that there is no distinction between the Jew nor Gentile, that we are all one in the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Accord - See MSN

                         Works Dictionary).

                    c) Summary of The Example of Jesus Christ - Romans 15:1-7 - 1) Let us not offend our weaker Christian Jewish Brother because of our

stronger Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, due to our liberty from ceremonial laws & traditions 2) since the Old Testament wasn't given

just for the Jewish generation, but for ours and our future generations as well, so in that let us be in agreement with one voice, so

God may get the glory, not just among us, but also among the non-Christian world as well.

34) Christ, the Hope of Jews and Gentiles - Romans 15:8-13 - To Index ^ -

                    a) Romans 15:8-9a - Gods Truthfulness & Gods Mercy - To the Jew Jesus Christ became a Jew to show them that God does keep his

promises, that he has made to the 12 tribes of Israel, and then to the gentiles so that they may Glorify God for receiving his mercy.

                    b) Romans 15:9b-11 - The Gentiles Shall Praise the Lord - As it is written in the Old Testament that Jesus Christ will praise God among

the gentiles and the gentiles are told to rejoice and praise God with the Jews, in that all people, the Jews & the Gentiles shall praise

God together with great enthusiasm and admiration.

                    c) Romans 15:12-13 - Gentiles Have Hope - Our Lord Jesus Christ that will come, and has already came who rules the gentiles, through

his crucifixion and raising from the dead on the 3rd day has given us gentiles hope, and in that hope we shall have joy & peace and in

that through the power of the Holy Spirit that we can not deny we do have hope.

                    d) Summary of Christ, the Hope of Jews and Gentiles - Romans 15:15:8-13 - 1) To the Jews Jesus Christ has shown God keeps his promises,

and to the Gentiles, they glorify God for grafting them in, by showing them Mercy, 2) and with that the Jesus praises God among Gentiles

and in return as well the Gentiles shall rejoice and praise God with the Jews, 3) so the gentiles to have hope through Jesus Christ and in

that hope through the power of the Holy Spirit the gentiles shall receive Joy and peace.

35) Paul the Minister to the Gentiles - Romans 15:14-21 - To Index ^ -

                    a) Romans 15:14 - Paul Satisfied regarding the Christian Gentiles - (See Adam Clarkes Commentary) - Paul here is speaking to the

Christian Gentiles, that he is pleased with their love for one another, the Christian Gentiles and the Christian Jews, that they are able to

instruct one another in the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the way of understanding in the faith.

                    b) Romans 15:15-17 - Paul's Priestly Authority - In that he is letting the Christian Gentiles know of his of his office, as a servant of Jesus

Christ given to him by because of Gods Grace, so that the Christian gentiles through Paul's sacrifice in service that brought them to Jesus

Christ as a acceptable offering to God and in return they to may bring others to Jesus Christ as an acceptable offering to God as well, in

that Paul is proud of his work that has brought so many to Jesus Christ as a acceptable offering to God.

                    c) Romans 15:18-19 - Paul's has fulfilled his Ministry - So Paul speaks only what Jesus Christ has done through him by the power of the

Holy Spirit to bring the Christian Gentiles to obedience, by both word and deed (action of faith) all through the areas that he has

preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and in doing so Apostle Paul has fulfilled his calling, his ministry in Jesus Christ.

                    d) Romans 15:20-21 - Paul's Ambition to Preach in Unknown Places - Paul's ambition, his deep desire is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ

in places that has not yet heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in doing so those who have not heard will also have hope that the Christian

Jews and Christian Gentiles already have.

                    e) Summary of Paul The Minister to the Gentiles - Romans 15:14-21 - 1) Apostle Paul, lets the Christian Gentiles in Rome know that their love

and instructing one another pleases him, 2) he also reminds them of his Priestly Office that was given to him by Gods Grace, 3) and that he

Apostle Paul has fulfilled his ministry by through the power of Jesus Christ that he has brought many to Jesus Christ and in return those

that he brought to Jesus Christ will bring others to Jesus Christ as well, 4) so with that it is Paul's ambition to preach the Gospel of Jesus

Christ in places that has not yet heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached in the hope that they to may come to Jesus Christ for salvation

by the Holy Grace of God.

36) Paul's Plan to visit Rome - Romans 15:22-33 - To Index ^ -

                    a) Romans 15:22-24 - Reason Why Paul Couldn't Visit Them Yet - That is because he still had allot of work to do in the regions that he is in.

Paul for many years has longed to visit with the Christians in Rome, so when he heads to Spain at a later time he hopes to stop off and

spend time with them in Rome and that they can help him, most likely with money & material goods for his journey to Spain.

                    b) Romans 15:25-29 - Paul Works on Encouraging The Christian Jews to Accept the Christian Gentiles  - (See Adam Clarkes Commentary)

                         - Paul was on his way to Jerusalem to deliver aid, (most likely money & goods) from two cities Macedonia & Achaia (The Gentile

Christians There) that has collected money for the poor Jewish Christians in Jerusalem.  The reason for the Christian Gentiles to help

their brothers (the Jewish Christians) in Jerusalem is Paul's hope of joining the two groups (Christian Gentiles & Christian Jews) in Love

through Jesus Christ.   The Christian Jews was against accepting the Gentile Christians into the church, mainly because they do not

submit to the ceremonial laws of the Jewish church. After Paul has completed this task he then hopes to visit the brothers (Christians)

                         in Rome.

                    c) Romans 15:30-33 - Paul's Prayer Request From the Christians in Rome - Paul ask the Christians in Rome to be with him in prayer for

That he may be protected from Judea's non-christians, and that the Jewish Christians in Jerusalem that his gifts for their poor man be

acceptable to them so that when Paul visits the Christians in Rome that he may be full of Joy and refreshed for his journey to Spain.

Paul wishes them the God of Peace.

                    d) Summary of Paul's Plan to visit Rome - Romans 15:22-33 - 1) Paul couldn't visit the Christians in Rome yet because he still had a bit of

work to do (Preaching the Gospel) in the regions that he was in & near. 2) he also had to deliver aid from the Gentile Christians to the

Jewish Christians in Jerusalem in the hope that they accept the Gentile Christians in the Church since the Gentile Christians do not

submit to the ceremonial laws as the Christian Jews do. 3) so Paul ask the Christians in Rome to pray for his protection, and his mission

to unite the Christian Jews & Christian Gentiles in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN

37) Personal Greetings (Closing) - Romans 16:1-16 - To Index ^ -

                    a) Romans 16:1-16 - See a Good Commentary on this section of Romans - (See Clarkes Commentary) - (I Read The Complete Commentary

brother Apostle Paul has mentioned by name.

                   b) Summary of Personal Greetings (Closings) - Romans 16:1-16 - 1) These believers (Early Christians) that Apostle Paul has named, has

                        6) THEY SERVED THE KINGDOM OF JESUS CHRIST THEY ALL HELPED AND SERVED ONE ANOTHER IN MINISTRY AND NONE

OF IT WAS FOR SELFISH GAINS, NOR FOR SELF GRATITUDE, NOR FOR ANY KIND OF PERSONAL GAIN IF IT BE MONEY,

MATERIALISM ETC! NO THEY DIDN'T SERVE PERSONAL GAIN AT ALL!

38) Final Instructions and Greetings - Romans 16:17-27 - To Index ^ -

                     a) Romans 16:17-20 - Beware of those who deceive the naive - Paul tells the Christians in Rome to "BEWARE" of those who deceive with

their smooth talking ways and flattery, they only serve them selves instead of our Lord Jesus Christ, they easily deceive those who are

weaker in the Faith and less knowledge about the Holy words of God (The Bible). We are to be wise of what is good & innocent & what is

from an evil intent or action. Our God of Peace shall destroy the evil works of satan.

                    b) Romans 16:21-23 - See a Good Commentary on this section of Romans - (See Clarkes Commentary) - (I Read The Complete Commentary

brother Apostle Paul has mentioned by name.

                        1) Special Note: - Romans 16:21-23 - 1) These believers (Early Christians) that Apostle Paul has named, has

NONE OF IT WAS FOR SELFISH GAINS, NOR FOR SELF GRATITUDE, NOR FOR ANY KIND OF PERSONAL GAIN IF IT BE

MONEY, MATERIALISM ETC! NO THEY DIDN'T SERVE PERSONAL GAIN AT ALL!

                   c) Romans 16:24-27 - Benediction - It is Jesus Christ that has elected us (established us) according to Apostle Paul's Gospel, his preaching

Jesus Christ, as by the mysteries that has been kept secret for a very long time, but those secrets are revealed to us. by the prophecies

of Gods Holy Words (The Scriptures), that the promise that God has given to Abraham, "All Nations" Shall be blessed through you, that

is Jesus Christ to which these scriptures and All Nation Blessed through Abrahams refers to, and that is we may be obedient through

our faith as Abrahams faith was counted as righteous before God the almighty as he is wise! AMEN!
